G.A.R. vs Meyers As many of you know, this year will mark the end of the storied rivalry between the G.A.R. Grenadiers and the Meyers Mohawks. To honor this long tradition, Gene Maffei and I are putting together a pregame tailgate celebration before the football game on October 27, 2018 which will be here before you know it. Anyone interested in helping solicit funds and or in kind contributions please, message me with your info. Dear Brian and Maureen: Just a note to say it was nice to see you both yesterday. The Foundation fundraiser to honor Jarad and help kids was just perfect. You not only have nice friends you have good friends. The tournament prizes were spectacular, the raffle baskets awesome, the tee shirts, program and bracelets a great touch and the food oh the food I am still thinking about that sausage. Congratulations to your Foundation and your committee for putting on a fundraiser that is second to none. The Purse Bingo was a big success, with just over 90 playing Bingo, we were able to raise enough money for three (3) Student/Athlete Scholarships PLUS some. We would like to thank all that participated in the Event and without you we wouldn't be able to do what we do. The middle of last week May 2nd, or 3rd, I received a phone call asking if we could help get the Jr. and Sr. High School of G.A.R. Track & Field teams, some T-Shirts, well anything for Kids so I said get sizes bring your order to the manufacture. With this Donation our Foundation now has given back to the community just over $87,000.00, we are like 12,000.00 + dollars of $100,000.00, with our Scholarships coming up and a couple more donations and we will be at $90,000.00 by the end of this year. I can't EXPRESS how this makes us feel. Maureen and I and our entire foundation committee. The Jarad Grohowski Foundation will sponsor its 3rd free football camp

Saturday, June 22nd 2019 Wilkes-Barre Area Stadium

Old River Rd. & Hanover Streets

This Camp will be an All Positions Camp a camp for everyone Kickers, Linemen, Wide Receivers Etc.

Registration will take place from 8:00 to 9:00 AM at the Stadium

An application must be filled out and handed in NO LATER THAN May 20th, 2019, this is to make sure everyone gets a T-Shirt. The Camp will be headed by Special Guest(s) and Indianapolis Colts Mark Glowinski. He will instruct linemen techniques, also joining us this year will be Dallas Cowboy's Shakir Soto. Shakir will instruct DT, & DE Techniques and both will have a photograph and autograph session with the participants.

Meyers Special Teams Coach Gerry McGroarty will handle the Kicking game aspect.

2019 FREE FOOTBALL CAMP. Also from any District 2 (Schools) Head Football Coach. One must fill out an application before the May 20th, deadline. There will be NO walk-ons to this camp. Everyone MUST fill out an application to attend !!

We will provide water, Gatorade, or Powerade along with Power Bars.

Each participant will receive a T-shirt providing that their application is received by May 20th, 2019.

The Camp will run from 9:00 AM to 1:00 or 1:30 PM
